I'm delighted to announce that my chapter 'Combating Atrocity-justifying Ideologies' has just been published in a major new edited volume The Responsibility to Prevent by Dr Serena K. Sharma (King's College London) and Professor Jennifer M. Welsh (European University Institute; Oxford; and UN Special Advisor on the Responsibility to Protect).

This book is the most significant edited work on atrocity prevention efforts thus far (though also check out the forthcoming volume on Reconstructing Atrocity Prevention by Tibi Galis, Alex Zucker and the late Sheri Rosenberg). Strongly recommended to everyone working in the field of genocide studies, civilian victimization, political violence, mass atrocities, and the responsibility to protect.

Other contributors include Ruben Reike, Ekkehard Strauss, Monica Serrano, Dan Saxon, Sarah Sewall, Abiodun Williams, Walter Lotze, Alexandra Martins and Naomi Kikoler.

Anyone unable to access a copy of the book but interested in reading a manuscript of my chapter can request one from me using the contact details at the bottom of the page.
